Our History

The Anglican Church of the Redeemer was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation on September 19, 2007 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A group of believers came together and after significant prayer and discussion made the decision to form the Anglican Church of the Redeemer to uphold the historic faith, proclaim the unchanging Gospel and continue to be aligned with other faithful Anglicans throughout the world. The parish has been meeting for regular Sunday worship since January 6, 2008, beginning in Franklin, Massachusetts.

One year later, in 2009, the church decided to establish a second worship location in Norwood, Massachusettts, with Father Alan Bouffard serving as its Vicar. On September 29, 2019, the Anglican Church of the Redeemer-Norwood will celebrate its tenth anniversary.

Our Mission

To celebrate the Christian faith acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, uphold Scripture as the unchanging Word of God, and lead others into a saving relationship with Him through Biblical teaching and fellowship.

Who We Are:

† The Anglican Church of the Redeemer is a community of Christians who seek to follow Jesus Christ and lead others into a saving relationship with Him.

† We practice the Christian Faith in the Anglican tradition.

† We read and study the Bible, through which God has declared the Good News of salvation from sin and the hope of eternal life.

† We worship God using as our basis the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

† We seek to serve God and our neighbors through mission activities undertaken in conjunction with other Christian organizations such as Young Life.

Who may worship with us?

You may! We invite everyone to come and worship with us. If you want to know more about the Christian faith or to find out what we believe and how we try to live it out, we would love to meet you. Come and see!
